BREAKING THE DIGITAL CHAIN, one phone at a time.
PRIVACY MADE EASY FOR ALL
Refuse to get your data stolen by big-tech any longer and take back control with a phone that respects your privacy

It all starts with asking the right questions
WHY DO I NEED PRIVACY?
The list of drawdowns is endless, but just to name some crucial pain points...

SIM Vulnerabilities
SIM Swap attacks, Simjacker attacks, keeping logs of a phone number's calls or texts and tracking of its location. These are some of the things that can happen when you are a customer of a provider in your home country. Let us add a global functioning anonymous eSIM to your phone to mitigate these risks.

Feeling bloated?
After buying a brand new phone, it's already stuffed and loaded with apps you don't want, don't need and probably have way too much access to your data. This is called bloatware, and it's a direct invasion of your right to privacy, since they come pre-installed by default and you HAVE to accept, just to be able to use the phone.

Grant me access, or else...
Don't you love it when you want to install an app, and it gives you the whole 20 page list of permissions you HAVE to agree to before you can install? This erodes privacy and robs you from the data that should be rightfully yours.
Android or iOS leave you no choice, but luckily there is an alternative.

WHAT IS GRAPHENE OS?
Experience the full potential of a phone while remaining digitally free

Excellent protection standards
To our knowledge there is no operating system that protects against the exploitation of vulnerabilities better than GrapheneOS does. Its developers put a lot of emphasis on this. It tries to shut down most vulnerable unnecessary functions of the regular Android system, yet allows users to opt-in to these functions if they so choose. This keeps the phone user friendly, yet very secure by default. Users have the freedom to decide the balance between security and user friendliness that works for their personal needs.

No automatic permission for apps
With GrapheneOS you can manually choose what permissions you want to grant to each app you install.
Even the Google Play suite of services where many apps rely on to function properly, is optional and is not needed for your phone to function. However, should you so choose, you can opt-in to install and use it in a secure (sandboxed) fashion. Here too the choice is completely yours!

Lots of amazing features
GrapheneOS makes it possible to run up to 32 profiles on the same phone, which can have their own apps installed, their own features turned on/off and are totally segregated from each other.
It comes by default with a guest account included, but it's also a nice way to segregate business profiles from private ones, so those worlds don't get mixed.
There are lots of cool features built into GrapheneOS, like the option to use fingerprint-2FA and PIN scramblers for unlocking your phone, the clearing of sensitive data from memory, a hardened browser and multiple permission toggles to customize your network access, just to name a few.

It all starts with a vision..
How beautiful would life be if all innovation would only be used for the better and greater good, instead of self-enrichment and dark corporate interests?Since almost all aspects of our lives get managed in a digital way in the modern age, the digital footprint each one of us has, is becoming more important and valuable with each passing day.
These days, our 'digital footprint' is constantly being monitored, tracked, snooped, traced, limited, stolen from and (increasingly) censored.Like many we were aware of this issue for a long time, which is why we wanted to make a change and do something about it.
The small seed that becomes a forest
In the beginning the internet was a relatively free space, where people could roam around and enjoy each other's basic HTML-pages, which were mostly a cute and innocent way of interacting with one another. Since the rise of 'Big Tech' conglomerates however, this is no longer the case. These days, everybody who uses the internet is constantly being monitored, tracked, snooped, traced, limited, and deprived of their data. This often happens sneakily and thus unbeknownst to the user, but the consequences could end up being detrimental.Just think about it for a minute. Your phone knows all about you:- It knows where you are (location services)
- It knows what you are doing (app permission to use microphone / camera / sensors)
- It knows who your friends and family are (contacts + social media apps)
- It can detect your unique facial patterns and fingerprint (via unlock options and social media apps like Snapchat and Tiktok)Now realize that your phone is probably running Android (Google) or iOS (Apple). Together with other invasive apps like Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, TikTok and many more, the combination of all the previous points listed above can map a very detailed picture of your everyday life. Just a few examples from the list of endless possibilities:- When you take the kids to school (GPS location + kids heard on the background)
- What time you meet with your best friend (both phones being together every Friday at 10 PM for example)
- What conversations you have and to who you speak (on the apps that like to spy)
- How happily you are married (screaming can be heard on a microphone)This is not how it is supposed to be. Digital devices like phones are meant to aid us in certain tasks and to make life better and easier. They were not invented to be a permanent big brother spying tool we take with us everywhere we go.At Mirage we therefor believe something needs to change.
We see the digital realm getting harder to maneuver in a free and autonomous manner, and want to end the digital enslavement. For the time being it might just be the mobilization of average unsuspecting internet users into an army of consumers via the targeted ads that make them purchase more stuff they don't need. But what if there comes a time it won't stop at corporations looking to perversely squeeze some extra profit out of you and it gets really dark? What if they would start using all the data they collected about you for something more sinister? When is it enough and will the line be drawn?Knowledge is power, so the more knowledge they have of you, the more power they have over you. It is time for a movement. Join us on the path to digital freedom and lets break the digital chain together, one phone at a time!
